Wilderness 13.5T - my family's review, 19th Jun 2011

I took my son out the first time (2 weekends ago for 4 straight hours) in our new Wilderness 13.5T and my son & I loved it. I especially loved the boat's feet / rudder controls, and it's very difficult to roll (even with a disabled child bobbing side/side in the front seat). And, he loved sitting lower in the water - where he can easily reach out and put his finger tips in the lakes warm water. IMO: This tandem is amazing design and when in motion (and under control), it's as smooth as a dolphin swimming in tropical waters. To me, this tandem is worth it. The smiles on his face was awesome.
Control aside, we both loved its higher back seats (when adjusted proper) and we both loved its single large cockpit opening as well. I large opening (instead of 2 single openings) allowed us to load our disabled child in/out very easily. And if we did roll in open water, 1 large open cockpit allows faster discharge. Its dry well is great for cell phone and snacks as well.
